Adult Sunday School
First Baptist Church of Cimarron, KS offers Sunday School classes for all ages. The Adult Sunday School class is actually two classes in one. Participants range in age from 18 to 80+. We have, at times, separated the men’s class from the women’s class, but find our discussions more thought provoking when both genders are present.
While using LifeWay Christian Resources: Bible Studies for Life, we dig deep into the experiences and expectations of modern Christian life. With members offering a wide variety of personal perspectives, we strive to connect God’s word with today’s circumstances. We try to bring each week’s lesson to a current, local reality that each of us may be facing or dealing with.
We offer a relaxed atmosphere with ample opportunity for anyone to share and question. We are a community that believes all parts of the body are important and necessary for the growth and health of the whole. You don’t have to share, but are welcome to fully participate in the discussion. You can enjoy coffee and doughnuts while digging into God’s word and learning more about Him.
Meet the Adult Sunday School Teachers
Our current Adult Sunday School teachers are the husband and wife team of Mike and Andi Curtiss. They have attended First Baptist Church of Cimarron, KS for about ten years along with their two sons. Mike is originally from New Mexico, and grew up in a Southern Baptist Church. His father is a deacon and Sunday School teacher, and Mike is following in his footsteps serving as one of our deacons and teaching this adult Sunday School class. Mike also provides pulpit support for area churches, and is actively involved in an area ministry known as Men’s Encounter.
Andi is a native of Southwest Kansas, growing up attending several different denominational churches. She is also actively involved in Women’s Encounter.
“Join us each Sunday morning as the class digs deep into the Word so that we can apply it to our everyday lives!” – Mike & Andi Curtiss
