Children’s Sunday School

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” – Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)

First Baptist Church of Cimarron, KS offers Sunday School classes for all ages. Currently, Children’s Sunday School is divided into three classes: Preschool & Kindergarten, 1st through 3rd grades, and 4th through 6th grades. This configuration is subject to change based upon attendance.

All Children’s Sunday School classes use the age-appropriate versions of the same LifeWay Christian Resources: Bible Studies for Life materials that are used in the Youth and Adult classes. This allows families to discuss Biblical topics together, at home. School-aged children are very curious about the meanings behind the stories in the Bible. At First Baptist Church of Cimarron, Children’s Sunday School provides students with sound Biblical lessons that help them connect God’s Word to their own lives. Come discover, learn, and grow in the things of God with Children’s Sunday School at First Baptist Church of Cimarron!

Chad and Samantha Burman –
4th through 6th Grades

Children's Sunday School Teachers - The Burmans

Children’s Sunday School teachers, Chad and Samantha Burman, are both natives of Cimarron. Chad actually grew up attending First Baptist Church. After high school, they both moved away to attend college in Pittsburg, Kansas.  After college they lived in many different places, and loved all the experiences that came with that.  While away, Justin was born in 2002, and Ryan was soon to follow in 2006.

About two years ago, they decided to come back to their roots in Cimarron. They enjoy teaching the children the books of the Bible, as well as helping them memorize the verses that go along with their lessons. They feel that one of the best things about teaching Children’s Sunday School is that the teachers get to explore the Bible with the students.
